Bali Thai - Tampines, Singapore
These 3 guys, originally from United states, didn't stop talking about this dish they had in Singapore. I can not help myself not to overheard it. Well, in a plane, with nothing else to do, it was okay to overhear other people's conversation ;)
They mentioned about Bali Thai Restaurant in Singapore.
I put my brain to work, and search where did I have seen the name before. Then I remembered. There is a Bali Thai Restaurant at Tampines Mall in my area. Aha, good memory!
I rushed into the restaurant the next day for lunch. Just like those three guys discussed, I ordered a Chicken Tom Yam Soup. The seafood looks good, but as I think of my cholestrol, I ordered the chicken instead.
The restaurant is clean and neat, also the waitress are nice. It was a nice noon, the restaurant was not so packed. The service is quite fast, and here it comes, my order:
The Tom Yam comes in clay pot instead of usual steel bowl you see most of the time. It also comes with a small burner to keep the soup warm. Want to know the taste?
I give it a 9 for the taste!! The spicy level is great, not really chilly hot but of course if your stomach are not used to spicy food, better be careful. Even though I still think it's worth to try :)
The price of a chicken tom yam soup plus white rice and one glass of Thai Ice tea is Sing $18.
Next time you're in singapore, try it out! :)
