exotic Taiwan..

Mmmh... just found it in my folder of pictures while trying to clean them...

Made my mind travel to the time of my visit to Taiwan. It was one of my most memorable "culinary touring" experience.

I had to present our call center situation, and also learned from the expert regarding call center in schering AG (that time), besides many many slides to be prepared, I only have half day left to explore Taipei.

It was a very good thing that I have been introduced to a colleague which was not in our team. Because everyone in our team already felt exhausted after almost 3 days back to back meeting. So they all went home and rest and of course enjoying some family time.

This new good friend, a registered nurse in Taiwan, brought me around Taipei, enjoying the city and also the food. Firstly, She took me around our Schering Office. There was a famous snow ice stand. We had some snow ice in Indonesia, but I never was interested to try them out. Strangely she said that this is one of taipei famous, so I would like to try it.

That is my first time to taste the snow ice.... mine is snowy ice, the taro, milk and also red bean. (My pic holding bowl of snow ice)

Then she took me to eat goose at a very special place in the corner of Taiwan city! Real one! not Duck! What an experience, almost taste the same but actually... they did not... (My pic eating goose noodle with table).
It tasted good. The goose meat is not hard, but soft, and the spice is soft also, very nice.

The place is just like a "kaki lima" place in Indonesia. But the people could not stop flowing in. Never stop. So many people coming in every minutes. Have similar menu to mine, they enjoyed their food.

We enjoyed the food and talking at the same time. It is a really good dinner.

After eating the goose, we strolled around the city area named Xi Men. Walking after a while I became hungry again hahahaha, and then she wanted to show me also a famous oyster noodle place in Xi Men Taipei.
So ... we enjoyed a bowl of rice noodle with oyster, there is no place for sitting, so we just standing dine in place in a very crowded part of city, xi men... nice... (me and my friend in the middle of xi men..). All the people do that also. Interesting..
I could not really taste the oyster, with a small portion, however it warmed my body instantly, and the taste was not strong, easy on my tongue :)

What  a great visit. I enjoyed it so much. After full of food, we took the subway again and walked to her house. Then there we do some more talking and talking, share pictures, I met her parents also, saw how Taiwanese lives, interesting day.

After a while then I realized it was already past midnight, I booked cab and went back to my comfortable hotel bed..

A great day, great food journey, exotic Taiwan!
